| East County Fire & Rescue is a combination fire department with career and volunteer personnel working together to provide excellent service to our community. Volunteer firefighters participate in all aspects of firefighting, including structural firefighting and emergency medical response. Applications for volunteer membership with the Fire District are accepted year round. Testing for volunteer positions will typically occur twice per year. 12 Week Fire Academy |
One weekday evening and all day Saturday for the duration of the academy. | |

EMT Basic Certification Course |
Typically 2 evenings per week and all day Saturday for 12 weeks. Recruits that have already completed EMT training and are certifiable in the State of Washington will not be required to attend this course. | |
